In this story, Pixie desired to go outside and experience the wind. She had a full of energy body. And still she looked back at Brutus, and bid him without a word follow her. Brutus slowly stood up. To see Pixie, he made up his mind, but he was calm as usual. He knew she had had a better day had he been there. The minute they stepped out of the house, they were taken aback by the wind. Pixie could feel it in her fur, and was starting to jump about. She felt funny in her ears as a result of the wind.
Pixie and Brutus
She tried to walk straight, but the wind blew her a little along. This caused her to appear so humorous. Brutus saw her, and kept a fixed attitude. His bulky body came in handy in making him resistant to the wind. Pixie attempted to follow the leaves that were moving. Leaves were blowing about on the ground, and Pixie could have fancied it was a game. and she ran and ran behind them. She missed them, at other times, and she stopped abruptly. This wind gave her movements an aspect which was absurd and comical.

Brutus walked round her, observing her. His unpursued leaves did he not miss; happy was he to see Pixie at his play. A slight increase of the wind took place. Pixie made a slight movement of stepping backwards. She gazed astonished and then wild with anticipation. Brutus was with her, as a battlement of a wall. The wind never bothered him, but he stood by to be sure Pixie was not caught. Pixie then galloped round in little circles. Her fur was standing on end in all directions, and including the wind.

She was quite a funny-looking woman, and her gait was not even. Brutus gazed at her coolly, and trailed after her. He was not so gay, but found it pleasant to be with her there. Both were glad to be out in the open air. Pixie stopped, after a few moments. She was fatigued and cheerful. She stood quite still and left the wind blow on her. She had now the look of serene eyes. Brutus stood close to her, and looked out at the trees and the sky. The windy day was calm following all the laughter.

They had a bit more time out there. Little pixie was going more slowly this time, and Brutus was as near as ever. The wind still blew–but this time it appeared to be gentler. They all enjoyed the new air in his or her own way. Pixie enjoyed the fun and comic scenes and Brutus liked taking time out with her. It was a common day, but it was special and was invested with a new fun.
