As for the perception of the world as given by a grandma, the idea of an old age changes this. At an older age, she claims that a person’s eyes don’t just see things. The world is swift, loud and different, but a person learns to look upon it with calmness when he is old. Grandma says that the world doesn’t remain unchanged for anyone. She admits that as one grows older she gradually teaches herself to not fight each and every change. But she has discovered that peace comes to us when we accept the truth that change is the norm.
Perspective In Old Age
Grandma says that when she was younger, she wanted what she wanted in life. She wished for their minds to be like hers, and their lives, and their understanding of things. As she grows older, though, she discovers that everybody lives their life their own way. With increasing age she has gained more and more a heart for others. She says that being older teaches one about what’s important. She tells him, I’m the same age that I can tell the difference between noise and meaning.
Grandma tells us that the world has become modern, but it needs to be kind-hearted. She says that everyone wants to be cared for and respected, whether they live like they do or not. This is something that she learns from old age. Grandma says that old age brings the world’s patience. Each change that comes upon her is not to be feared, she says. However, she shows that it’s possible to train a calm mind to take them. She believes that patience is the way towards making the changing world easier.

She tells us of her past old age, and how she has great memories there as well. These memories enable her to make comparisons between past and present. But grandma says that she doesn’t want to live in the past with the children. Her words are precious, but life goes on she says. A wise heart is one that reveres the past, but also gazes forth on the present with open eyes, she says. Grandma goes on to say that with age comes the perspective. But older people can live through the changes in time that all things can undergo.

Grandma says that sometimes it isn’t fun to see the world change in old age. As she gets older, she says, she’s learning to take things easy and embrace every day. Finally, grandma teaches us to see things differently as a gift of old age. However, change isn’t always a bad thing, she says. This may also be a teacher. She shares that when the heart is at peace, the world is simpler. According to grandma, wrinkles are not the only signs of old age. In addition, it demonstrates wisdom in the soul.
