Having a routine each day is helpful, she says. Eating at the right time, getting up at the right time and ensuring a good night’s sleep can help restore balance. In the interview she explains that she has a routine to give life a purpose on a daily basis. It also helps to keep the mind and body active. Grandma tells grandchild that one of grandchild’s biggest concerns after retirement is health. Older adults need to be mindful of what they eat, how they rest, how they get around and how they take their medicines, she says.
As per grandma, care is more important when the person grows up. She thinks spending time with loved ones helps to decrease loneliness. In the interview she states that friendship is also very important. Older adults should not be isolated for extended amounts of time, she says.
