Pixie and Brutus is a lovely straightforward tale that is liked by many. It depicts the life of two animals, totally different, which become best friends. Pixie is a cute, loving, and jovial cat. She has faith that the world is a caring and safe place. Brutus is a large silent dog who has witnessed much in life. Although they are not same, they love one another. Brutus demonstrates to us in this story that he is so powerful and intelligent. He never solves problems by using force or anger.

Preparedness and awareness sometimes is the best way to safeguard others. On one occasion, it happens that the threat is near a group that requires protection. The flock is threatened and things might go. Pixie is not quite cognizant of the risk but Brutus is. He is alert, and keeps a close eye. His body is in a rave, but his mind is operating rapidly. He has knowledge that he has to do what is right.
Brutus decides against attack. He does not strain ahead or make an uproar. Rather he positions himself in such a place that he is in control of the situation. His very appearance is a powerful message. He is a self-assured and strong person who does not shout. This silent mightiness helps to keep the danger away. The flock remains secure as Brutus understands how to deal with the situation. Without injuring anyone he defends them. This depicts that being strong does not mean fighting. It is all about knowing when to respond and when not to get panic. Brutus realizes this quite well.
Brutus watches Pixie and teaches her. She views that courage is not necessarily loud or quick. There are instances where courage is silent. There are times when it is all a matter of standing up and refusing to succumb to fear. Pixie starts to perceive the world a bit differently.
